Day 9 to 14 of "Light the World"

I have a feeling that you guys are thinking that this post is going to be extremely long lol but I will try to not make it too long and boring for you. Last night I officially finished this semester with my final and I got 100% , so happy J. A couple days ago I applied to Best Buy without telling Seth because he always tells me that some places don’t allow married people to work at the same place, which I understand. The next day while Seth and I were chilling in the house I got a phone call from the company and Seth was wondering why were they calling me. lol They called me for an interview. SO, I tell Seth about the whole application story and the interview and he gets so happy and is so supportive. My first interview went well, and then on Monday they called me to schedule another interview with the store manager. I still couldn’t believe I had gone so far. Yesterday I get all prepared for the interview and it went awesome. I got the job!! I am happy to announce to you that I am part of the Best Buy family aka company now! J

Beside all the happiness about the job, I have to tell you about a story that happened to me before I went to give my first interview. That day I went hiking with a family in my ward, and when I got home and got ready I looked into the window of my bedroom to see if my father in law was here yet. Two minutes later, I heard someone knock on my door like crazy. I looked at the peephole to see who it was and I saw that there was a guy I didn’t know and I got scared, so I didn’t open the door. A couple of seconds later, I heard the door again and again and after a while it stopped. In the moment, I thought that this crazy weird guy had left, I heard that he was knocking at my window as hard as he could and almost broke the glass. He said: Can you please stop looking at me? I get so surprised because I had no idea that this person lived in his car that was parked in front of my apartment. At the same time my roommate comes in and I explained everything and asked to take me outside at least to where my father in law was waiting for me. I got in the car and in the corner of my eye I saw this guy running and as soon as he saw that I was with my family he kind of stepped away and asked if he could talk to me. I opened the window of the car, and he asked me why I was looking at him and looking at my phone which doesn’t even make sense because I was in my own house. I told him that as he could see I was waiting for my family and had no idea that you were wherever you were. He just left and then my father in law, told him that he never wanted to see him again and that he was a coward for being afraid from a girl.  I was terrified and even now that it has been couple of days I am scared to stay at my own house by myself. That day, after that interview Seth had to close so I went to one of my ward families until Seth came to pick me up.
I think I mentioned the hiking part. We went to McDowell Mountain Park and hiked a 5 mile trail to find the Elf tree but didn’t end up finding it lol but it was a good and needed hike.

Jesus Visited the Lonely, and So Can You! Dec 9th
That day, we had a ward activity for Christmas where we were able to make a really good/special activity. The activity was that each family would take a plate and decorate it, then grab some cookies and take it to a family that wasn’t in the Christmas activity or a person we thought they needed it. So that’s what we did. Because Seth had to work I collaborated with another family and completed the activity with them.

Jesus Helped People Walk, and So Can You! Dec 10th
For this part, Seth and I helped an elderly couple in our apartment complex with their errands. We helped them by taking their groceries out of the car and take them inside the house. We also gave them some Christmas cookies, because who doesn’t want cookies now?! We felt very happy that we were able to do something so small for them, and receive blessings from our Heavenly Father.  We also watched this video to know more about the LDS Charites wheelchair program. So click here if you haven’t seen it yet.

Jesus Ministered to Children, and So Can You! Dec 11th
For this one we don’t have children yet but thankfully it was Sunday so we had a lesson with Sunbeams. They are all so cuuuuteeee ^_^  Their lesson for that week was about helping each other at the church. We also taught them to always remember that Jesus is our Savior and He has an infinite love for each of them (us). We listen to all of them even though some of the things they were saying had nothing to do with the lesson lol. I just love how their minds goes everywhere and they have different thoughts about everything.

Jesus Taught Others, and So Can You! Dec 12th
For this one, I talked to my mom and I shared with her what I have learned lately from my scripture study. We also wanted to share with you guys a story of Jesus that we both like. It is about the lost sheep. Some of you might know it, but for those who don’t know here is a short summary of it. This story is about a shepherd that had 100 sheep. He would take care of his sheep very well. One day one of his sheep were lost, so he made sure that the other 99 sheep were safe and goes to look around for the lost sheep. After a lot of searching he found the sheep and he gets so happy so he celebrate with all of his friends. We both like this story because Jesus is like the shepherd in this story. He is also watching over us , and looking for us if we are lost. He doesn’t give up because of our mistakes but he is happy when we improve.

Jesus Showed Humility, and So Can You! Dec 13th
Yesterday was sooo fun. We went through old pictures and laughed so hard at ourselves with all the crazy/cute pictures we had. Oh… there is one picture of wittle Seth with his cute Mexican outfit that I can’t stop looking at it. I don’t have a lot of my childhood pictures here with me, but I had showed that to Seth through Skype when I was in Albania and he hasn’t stopped laughing about it since then. Funny story about my childhood pictures, in all of them I have cucumber in my hands because I love cucumbers. Lol  sorry I can’t provide pictures. L
Popcorn strings was the highlight of the day.

Jesus Taught Us to Clothe the Naked, and So Can You!
A couple of days ago I went through all of my clothes, and I put aside the ones I didn’t use anymore or they didn’t fit me. As soon as I saw last night what we were supposed to do, I checked online where was a good place to donate. I found out that Helen’s Hope Chest is always accepting donation so we sent out what we had J  We are so happy that we are able to help people in so many ways.

That's all for this post, thanks for reading!!!
