I have been thinking
about writing about this topic for quite a while but I have never been able to
find the right words until now. It’s about our body images. I have been so
stressed lately because of some pounds I had gained and I have been working out
a lot, almost every single day for the past month (I had totally missed it).
Today I wanted to share what I have learned so far:
-First of all, no matter
what you think your body looks like, your body is perfect! You should learn to
love your body how it is. When I was younger, since I grew up in a different
mentality and culture, I always struggled with my own body image and trust me
judgment is real in Europe. Sometimes I wouldn’t wear something even though I
would love it, just because it would show that I didn’t have a flat stomach, or
something else. It doesn’t matter what others think, just be you and never be
afraid to show your real body.
-Secondly, besides what I
said above, you should take care of your body. Challenge yourself. If you
haven’t exercised for a long time, now it’s time. It is never too late. Don’t
let your weight or shape stop you from activities you enjoy.
Find something that makes
you feel good about yourself. Make a list of things that you are able to do
each day because of your body and always remember. Stay motivated!!!
Make sure to have good
influencer on your social media life, or real life. Social media sometimes is
very hard for me. I see moms that have an awesome body and I wonder how do they
do it, how’s it possible to have a flat stomach after having three kids?! And
then it gets me, I remember when I had a thigh gap or when I had a six pack
…but something that has really helped me is unfollowing/ unfriending all those
people that don’t make me feel good. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of
people I love out there and I am so happy for their accomplishment, but if
something or someone make you feel sorry about yourself it’s okay to not be
around or see what they are up to.
There are always going to
be times when you feel down, and in those times remember that God created us in
His own image and wants us to appreciate our bodies and love them. Don’t let
anyone make you think something else. I am really thankful for my body and for
all those good people/ influencers that have helped me. J If you guys are
interested on exercises , workouts or my calorie counting “diet” I have been on
, just feel free to tell me and I would love to make a post for it.
Aw thanks, such a great reminderđź’—
